Neuromodulators are the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure in the world. They work to soften wrinkles by temporarily relaxing the muscles that are causing the wrinkles. They can also be used for subtle lifting of facial structures. Combining these techniques results in a natural, fresh look and can be the foundation of an antiaging and skin rejuvenating regimen.
Healthy aging results not only in wrinkles but also a loss of volume in areas such as the cheeks, nasolabial lines, and under-eye. Temporary Dermal Fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin, that draws moisture to the area, thereby replenishing lost volume and restoring a youthful smoothness and glow.
The shape and volume of the lips changes with age. Restoring volume with fillers while maintaining a pleasing shape requires a combination of technique and artistry. Our Medical Doctors will work with the patient to develop the individual aesthetic the patient desires such as a “pouty” lip, rebuilding a cupid’s bow, or lifting the corners of the mouth.
Most patients notice a significant reduction or even elimination of their excessive underarm and hairline sweating for up to 9 months. Botox works by blocking the release of an activating substance called acetylcholine, which renders the sweat gland inactive. Some extended insurance plans will cover a portion of the cost of Botox for Excessive Sweating.
Botox has been approved in Canada for migraine treatment and prevention since 2011. Most patients experience a significant reduction in migraine frequency and severity for up to 4 months, sometimes longer. Most extended insurance plans cover Botox for migraines.
